DGI:Abdominelle Infektionen/Klinisches Bild/Epidemiologie
Pro Jahr werden in Deutschland ca. 150.000 intra-abdominelle Infektionen behandelt[1]. Sie stellen die zweithäufigste Ursache von septischen Schocks dar [2]. 90% der Patienten mit einer IAI entwickeln eine Sepsis, ca. 1/3 dieser Patienten einen septischen Schock [3]. Daten der multinationalen observativen Kohortenstudie AbSeS aus dem Jahr 2016 ergaben, dass 31,6% der Patienten mit einer ambulant erworbenen schweren IAI, 25% mit einer früh im Krankenhaus erworbenen Infektion und 43,4 % mit einer spät im Krankenhaus erworbenen Infektion intensivmedizinisch behandelt wurden [4]. Ca. 40% aller Patienten mit einer Perforation in den Bauchraum bedürfen deshalb einer intensivmedizinischen Therapie und >90% bedürfen einer chirurgischen Herdsanierung [5].
