Klinisches Bild
Leitsymptome:
dokumentiertes Fieber ≥38,3°C bei mindestens 2 Messungen, über 3 Wochen ohne erkennbare Ursache.
Epidemiologie:
In den westlichen Industrieländern machen Infektionskrankheiten etwa 20 % aller FUO-Fälle aus, gefolgt von nicht-entzündlichen Erkrankungen und Neoplasien.
In Schwellen-und Entwicklungsländern sind Infektionen für etwa 45 % der Fälle verantwortlich. Dabei ist die Tuberkulose für ca. 50 % der Fälle verantwortlich.
Ätiologisch lässt sich eine Fieberreaktion bzw. FUO in 4 Gruppen unterteilen:
- Infektionen
- Malignome
- entzündliche nicht-infektiöse Erkrankungen
- verschiedene
